The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty (MSPCC) is dedicated to protecting the rights of children and their families by providing prevention, education and treatment services both in the home and through community-based locations across the Commonwealth.
Child Witness to Violence Program
The Child Witness to Violence Project (CWVP), which is run under the auspices of the Department of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center, is a counseling, advocacy and outreach project that focuses on the growing number of young children who are bystanders to community and domestic violence. CWVP is staffed by a multi-cultural, multi-lingual staff of social workers, psychologists and early childhood specialists as well as a consulting pediatrician and attorney.
