The Middlesex Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) is based upon the fundamental premise that children have the right to be safe and protected from harm. We are dedicated to minimizing secondary trauma to victims by streamlining the handling of child sexual abuse, serious child physical abuse, and child exploitation cases.
The CAC provides a comprehensive, culturally competent, multidisciplinary team response to child abuse and exploitation cases in a dedicated, child-friendly setting.
Mandated reporters play an integral part in the protection of our children, as they are often the first adults to see signs of or be told about child abuse, neglect and/or exploitation
There are no hard and fast rules that dictate how to respond when a child comes to you and tells you he or she is being abused. Common sense dictates that care must be taken to protect the child and honor the courage it takes to disclose.
What is sexting? Learn about the dangers of sexting, and the legal and social consequences you could face if you engage in this behavior as a minor.
The average age of entry into the commercial sex industry is 12-15 years old. The Middlesex CAC is changing that!
